Tickets for Lebron’s #WitnessHistory being sold online

You’ve probably heard of the news that Miami Heat superstar Lebron James is paying his Filipino fans a visit as a part of his Asian tour called “Witness History”. Thousands of die-hard fans and scalpers flocked to the Nike Park at BGC to be part of this once in a lifetime chance to see their idol. Wait, did I just say SCALPERS?!

Yes, that’s right! Among the thousands of fans who lined up to get a pair of tickets to see the NBA superstar are scalpers who are now selling their FREE tickets on online stores like Sulit and AyosDito.

Just to reiterate, these tickets are given for free and are sponsored by Nike PH, so technically other than their transportation and their so-called “effort” of lining up since amidst the occasional rains, they didn’t spend a dime on it.

So how much are they selling it? Well, the price differs from seller to seller depending on the location of the seat (and how greedy they are), but the price ranges from Php1,500 to Php5,000. The greediest of them all, is selling/sold his Upper Box ticket for Php10,000.

Can you call them scumbags? Yeah, probably. But let’s face it, not everyone has the luxury to line up to get tickets to see Lebron James. If you’re one of those people, at least you can still see your basketball idol. That is, of course, if you’re willing to pay for something that’s supposed to be free.

…and there’s this faggot whose calling names to everyone who responds to his post. If we use your logic to a gun, then that means I could point my gun and shoot at anyone. As commented before, scalping is for RETARDS

  9. Avatar for jake jake says:

  10. Avatar for booboo booboo says:

In QC, scalping is illegal. Hmm, OK let’s move major sporting events to Pasay via MOA instead. There’s a price for convenience and demand. Since these free tickets are very in-demand and there are people who are lazy (or at least complacent) to fall in line, ayan, magbayad ka. LOL

  11. Avatar for jake jake says:

  12. Avatar for jake jake says:

In the first place, wala naman silang taong natatapakan, besides this is their EFFORT!!! not yours!! STUPID!

    • Avatar for bekbek bekbek says:

      Scalper FOUND!

    • Avatar for ROA ROA says:

Take time to reflect with what you just said. You call that EFFORT? You yourself capitalized the word FREE, yet you seem to be ok with what the scalpers are doing. I’m pretty much sure na maraming tao na pumunta dun pero walang ticket na nakuha, yet here are some people who had the chance to get them, for FREE, but have no plans on using them themselves and are instead selling them. And you calling us who condemn scalpers STUPID, it’s you who deserved to be called as such.

    • Avatar for jake jake says:

    • Avatar for The Berto The Berto says:

  13. Avatar for meh meh says:

The solution is to sell tickets cheap but make the tickets have a name on it and if the person doesn’t have the name and ID to match the ticket, then no entry. Problem solved , can’t scalp if a ticket name has to match an ID

    • Avatar for Wala Wala says:

    • Avatar for booboo booboo says:

Good suggestion; but, the process will take EXTRA long and costly. You need a machine to input the name of the ticket holder. Consider the time an encoder needs to input the name, not to mention the extra time to verify ID, demand for a valid ID, and other instances. Additional transactions mean more time.

Another point is, what if something comes up and the ticket holder cannot come and wants relatives or friends to use the ticket instead? If it has a price, it has to be refundable, or at least transferable.

Does an organizer want to take this extra mile? I doubt.

    • Avatar for gadgetspecialist gadgetspecialist says:

  14. Avatar for The Berto The Berto says:

    • Avatar for MandurugasBerto MandurugasBerto says:

    • Avatar for ROA ROA says:

Tiyaga? Eh yung mga taong may trabaho at may pamilya na inaatupag during the time the tickets were distributed, ano tawag mo sa kanila? Walang tiyaga? First, the word “FREE” was emphasized again and again. Kung gusto nila yung mga mayayaman lang ang makakakita kay LBJ, eh di sana may presyo yung tickets from the organizers themselves. There’s a purpose that they were given for free, and that’s because they wanted everyone to have a chance. These tickets was supposed to be for LBJ’s fans, not for opportunistic parasites like those scalpers. And lastly, you supporting scalpers, calling them “madiskarte” instead of condemning them. Are you a scalper yourself? I guess you are, or you once were. Being a business-minded person is not bad, provided you know your limits. You wait for hours in lines with the purpose of selling something that is supposed to be free. That is not being an entrepreneur at all. Kababayan mo tina-take advantage mo. Anong klaseng isip meron ka nyan? Mahiya ka naman sa ginagawa mo. Di lang pera ang importante sa mundo.

    • Avatar for bekbek bekbek says:

    • Avatar for booboo booboo says:

In some places, scalping is ILLEGAL.

    • Avatar for otreb otreb says:

    • Avatar for gadgetspecialist gadgetspecialist says:

  15. Avatar for Marb Marb says:

Hahaha :P
