Compact, slim and chiclet keys — this China-made computer keyboard reminded me of Apple Mac’s signature silver-white keyboards. So I took home one and see if it’s any better than regular ones.
It’s not as classy and slim as the ones sold by Apple but I bet this one comes from the same factory in China (*jk*). Comes with a silicon cover too so it’s spill-proof and dust-proof.
I’m not so sure though if the Php850 price tag is really cheap.

MacBook Replacement Laptop Keys says:
Thanks, Abe for familiarizing us with this keyboard through your post.
Neena says:
That keyboard does indeed look very Mac-like.
I do like the the idea of a silicone cover – Apple should include one with their keyboard as well.
My white keyboard gets so dirty from use. A cover would be very useful.
Aneros Helix says:
How’s it going? I was just thinking about where you got your information from? want to share?
KiX Javier says:
I found a MAC-like keyboard too. Check my post at my site: http://kixjavier.com/2010/07/29/a-cheap-mac-like-keyboard/

Sayang ang ganda sana.
Gusto ko subukan, kaso mahal.
Generic muna ako hangga’t wala pang murang ganyang keyboard.

vr says:
at first glance it looks really classy, but once you touch it, it feels very cheap. It is very plastic if you removed the silicon protection, which for me is very expensive at 850. But if it is rubberized plus the silicon, i’ll go for it instantly.
tonio says:
I’d like to know how this compares to a laptop keyboard, or if it’s a different type. I recently bought a Pleomax slim keyboard for ~1k because it is the only keyboard I see that feels like a laptop keyboard. Pleomax is good but there are rare times that it lacks the key feedback I am expecting.

gnda niyan..
vance says:
a cantos, if it was sold by other sore it will cost lesser hehehe.
a.cantos says:
without the silicon, it costs lesser. what do you think?
sky says:
Hmm. The daughter/son of a generic PC keyboard and an Apple keyboard? lol.
Doesn’t look nearly as classy as Apple’s and it’s not as thin either. But if it’s comfortable to type on then what the heck. Speaking of which, how’s the quality of the keyboard anyway?
Also, 850 is expensive. Considering it’s generic and all.
Ricardo says:
It’s quite expensive for a china generic keyboard.
You could by a branded board wireless for a logitech brand, just add a little sum of money.
Jun Velasco says:
Its nice to know that there is a keyboard that ‘mimics’ apple’s — been looking for one for some time and will try to check this out.
jepoy says:
I’ll wait for the CD-R King version :D
akira says:
since they’re mac-like, i bet the keys are soft. are they sir yuga? :)
vance says:
well, I’m not surprise that it cost 900Php.. you bought it from Octagon. if cd-r king will release on for sure you will get it for less..

What happens when I press the large spacebar key…. Does it type NEWMEN? aheheh… :-)
virtualstefan13 says:
It looks great if the “NEWMEN” was not in the big space bar key.!!
That’s my opinion…
dombri says:
Quite expensive. White should look great though.
Glenn says:
Tested it and it’s just a teeny tad harder to press than the original. The keys are matte and the case is very plastic and black as you can see. There’s an 850 PHP version with a print on the spacebar and 900 PHP for the cleaner version.
No extra USB ports and it might be a good alternative to those who want a cheaper version of the Apple KB. You can swap the keys btw if you want the format like a Mac (swap the Win key with the Alt and Context Menu keys)
Reel Advice says:
Haha yeah! not cheap! considering it is generic!
SEO to Hobbies| CarloBlogg Online says:
wah! P850 for a keyboard? not cheap. Ok na ako sa generic :D
PC Domination says:
too expensive for a china made keyboard
Abe Olandres says:
Apple’s Mac keyboard are also made in China. :D
calvin says:
too expensive for a cheap-looking keyboard. kamusta naman yung feedback ng keys?
kapusotkapamilya says:
its expensive..
Jose Farrugia says:
P850 for a keyboard. I rather stick to the generic cheap keyboards ;)
Arnold Gamboa says:
Ako naman, I want to go the “traditional” way. My Mac keyboard seems to hamper my fast typing, unlike the traditional huge keys that you can press really deep and hard. :D
Abe Olandres says:
At Octagon.
Bon says:
Where is it being sold?
