Amazon will soon deliver packages using aerial drones

Looks like Amazon has something very interesting up their sleeves as the retail giant unveiled their plans to deliver packages using unmanned aerial vehicles, aka drones – the Amazon Prime Air.

primeair

The Amazon Prime Air is a new delivery system that uses drones to get packages into customers’ hands in 30 minutes or less. According to Amazon, one day, “Prime Air vehicles will be as normal as seeing mail trucks on the road today.” Watch the demo video below:

However, the service is not ready yet for prime time as Amazon needs to have the approval of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for this type of device. As of the moment, the FAA is working on rules and regulations which is expected to be in place sometime in 2015. Amazon says Prime Air will be ready by that time.

    • Arnold TechWeb says:

Ang mahirap lang dun kapag nabihag yung kalapate sayang yung gadget, swerte yung nakabihag.

  4. benchmark says:

    • amazon jungle says:

As if naman walang magnanakaw sa US. Sa NYC nalang talamak ang mugging.

    • Ryan says:

  6. Smokescreen says:

Very hi tech. But I find it funny as well. If you live in the US, you might get spooked that a drone is landing by your doorstep! LOL. Baka akala pa nga bomb threat. :)

    • Smokescreen says:

jake. – Hahaha! LOL

    • jake says:

      @Smokescreen

madami kang problema sa buhay mo.
      puro ka reklamo.
      letse!

    • Smokescreen says:

rafsison – Pwede. Pero nakalagay 30mins or less. So pwede rin di mo pa rin alam when. Basta 30mins max. Mas likely do house chores na lang while waiting. Also if may ibang tao sa house, possible di nila alam nag order ka and sula naman magulat.

    • rafsison says:

Hintay hintay din pag may time.

    • Smokescreen says:

bobby – Bakit? Even if you choose this delivery method, malalaman mo ba what time exactly darating? LOL

    • bobby says:

Hmm, bakit ka naman matatakot? Eh you should expect it after you buy in Amazon. Bibili-bili ng item, pipiliin ang Prime Air delivery, tapos you’ll get spooked by it? Funny talaga! LOL.

    • Louie Diangson says:
