After announcing its new P9 and P9 Plus, the Chinese company is at it again but this time focuses on virtual reality. The Huawei VR is their answer to Samsung’s Gear VR and fits the two P9 phones in addition to the Mate 8.
The company boasts that it is currently the world’s first VR hardware with 360-degree sound field on the go. It works just like the Gear VR where you snap in your handset into the clips and has touch-sensitive panel for navigation.
The Huawei VR is said to have a 95-degree field of view and is equipped with an anti-blue light filter for extra protection of your peepers.
Content-wise, Engadget reports that there will be “over 4,000 movies available for watching, over 40 free games, 350 panoramic images, and over 150 panoramic tours” ready from the get-go.
There are still no pricing or availability announced so stay tuned as we wait for further details.
