Hyperkin Smartboy now up for pre-orders

It started from an April Fool’s joke, now, the Hyperkin Smartboy has become a reality and is now up for pre-order.

This gadget will allow you to experience the nostalgic feeling of having a GameBoy all over again. You simply just have to connect your Android smartphone to the said gadget since it has a MicroUSB and USB Type-C port which cater smartphones out on the market today.

It features a familiar design from the original GameBoy with the buttons and color schemes. There is a SmartBoy companion app in the App store which works well with the gadget. Other existing emulators out in the store are also compatible for this gadget.

It can also run the official original GameBoy cartridges but will take a while to load. The gadget is designed for the Samsung Galaxy S8 but is also compatible with other smartphones as well.

The price of the SmartBoy starts at $49.99PHP 2,934INR 4,237EUR 48CNY 364 (~Php 2500USD 43INR 3,612EUR 41CNY 310). The link for the pre-orders is here. They will start shipping the SmartBoy products starting August 21.
