In a recent announcement on their Weibo page, known and prominent tipster Digital Chat Station has unveiled exciting details about the upcoming iQOO Z9 series. Known for its midrange offerings, the vivo-owned brand has significantly changed its display technology.
Since its launch in mid-2020, the Z line initially adopted LCD screens but transitioned to OLED with the iQOO Z7 series. However, the subsequent Z8 family saw a return to LCD panels. The forthcoming iQOO Z9 series is set to reintroduce OLED technology, promising users a visually enhanced experience.
One notable improvement is the upgraded resolution, labeled as “1.5K” by Chinese manufacturers. The 1220p resolution bridges the gap between Full HD and QHD (1440p), aiming to deliver sharper and more vibrant visuals.
Currently, the iQOO Z8 and Z8x are the latest additions to the Z series lineup. Both devices boast a 4 nm chipset, with the Z8 taking the lead with a robust 3.1 GHz CPU and a 64 MP camera. Meanwhile, the Z8x distinguishes itself with a larger 6,000 mAh battery.
The iQOO Z series follows a release cycle of approximately six months. If all goes as anticipated, the iQOO Z9 series, featuring its innovative OLED display and improved resolution, will debut by the end of February. Smartphone enthusiasts eagerly await the arrival of these new devices, anticipating an exciting combination of cutting-edge technology and enhanced visual capabilities.
