Here’s another one from Xiaomi’s latest product launch. Meet the Mi Box mini – a set top box and successor to the Mi Box which features a quad-core CPU, dual-band WiFi, and a body that is almost as small as a smartphone charger.
Mi Box mini specs:
1.3GHz Cortex-A7 quad-core CPU
Mali-450 GPU
1GB RAM
4GB internal storage
1080p resolution support
Dolby, DTS audio
dual-band WiFi 802.11n
Built-in power supply
The Mi Box mini comes in different color variants and includes a Bluetooth remote control and standard 1.5m HDMI cable. It will be available in China for 199 Yuan or almost Php1,500.
di masyado FAMILIAR ang LAHAT sa set top box… maybe some vague idea… so i think tama lang na provided ang definition… it’s not good for the reader to find a definition from another source for a term (set top box) since most likely the reader will end up reading another tech blog that provides it and maybe contains a more complete article. the author should always assume that the reader is not familiar with a term or topic especially when it is new in the country. this discussion would have been avoided had a simple definition been provided in the article. :-) peace yall
Forgive the author, he seems also ignorant on what he’s writing about. Copy and paste, spot on. He seems too occupied to have an immediate post on mi box. Google search it, compare it with other reports, then you’ll see how incomplete this is, too concerned making it first with the rival tech blog. Shame.
Tsong, sa title pa lang gets na. Mey specs naman. Obviously the author does not have the unit so why would you expect more out of him? The good thing is he has made me aware of this product and I’m willing to google it myself so i can find out more about it.
well said wb. syempre nakikibalita lang din naman yugatech sa ibang blog/tech news/official sites or pages ng tech companies para may maicontent sa site for tech awareness. Obyus naman na wala pa silang test unit.
to godot, aira — GMG! kung badtrip kayo sa content ng posts ng yt edi ignore the site.
You two didn’t get the point. That’s sad. This post didn’t even have a source. Plagiarism, anyone? Are they present at the event to cover it? I doubt.
Source is Xiaomi. Xiaomi provided the photos and specs. Specs are obviously written as presented by Xiaomi. Do you want me to modify it so it’s not “copy-paste”? Now if you don’t know how a set-top box works or what it is in the first place, a simple Google search would suffice. Now if you’re too lazy to do it i’ll make it simple for you – this device turns an ordinary TV with HDMI port into a Smart TV. If you have taken that simple effort, like what most sensible readers do here, the specs would have made sense. Or are you now expecting me to explain to you what a Smart TV is?
Nice! Ayos din yan at ang mura! Funny lang with the color… basta masabi lang na may choices…just weird.
I want one! Now!
Hope it works here. So where do I get one?
