nVidia’s Android Tablet Prototype

nVidia showed off a prototype of an upcoming Android Tablet designed by Foxconn and running their dual-core Tegra 250 chipset.

The design looks a little smaller than the Apple iPad at 8.9″ but seemed more portable and handy {via Gizmodo}.

The prototype runs a newer ARM Cortex-A9 chip @ 1.0GHz with the video graphics running an nVidia Tegra, expect this to be geared more towards heavy gaming.

No additional details were revealed but they said its got 1GB of RAM, a front-facing camera, USB ports and an unknown version of Android OS.

  2. Looks nice, and way better than the iPad with regard to specs. And it looks like it has a 16:9 aspect ratio. Cool!

  3. If it’s a gaming device, then could this be a threat to the PSP and other portables?

  4. Native Games + Emulated Games + Web Browser + eBook Reader + Media Player minus the DRM crap = one sweet tablet

  5. Ugh, the more you spill money for these Foxconn-made products, the more you empower the sweatshop industry.
