Niantic has just announced on its blog that the Pokemon GO Plus, a device that complements the widely-played game, will be available “in much of the word” starting September 16, 2016.
We’ve recently told you about the Pokemon GO Plus that pairs to your smartphone using Bluetooth and notifies you when a Pokemon or a Poke Stop is nearby so you don’t have to keep your eyes glued to your phone while walking the streets.
In addition to alerting its user using vibration and flashing lights, they can also use it to throw Pokeballs to catch wild Pokemon. The device lights a rainbow color when a Pokemon is successfully caught, and a red light comes on when it fails.
“As you pass by a PokéStop, Pokémon GO Plus will vibrate and light up and alert you to the location. You’ll even be able to collect new items just by clicking the Pokémon GO Plus. If there’s nearby Pokémon hiding in your area you’ll be alerted with lights and vibrations; catch the Pokémon with a button on Pokémon GO Plus and then continue on your way (later, you can check
your Journal to see which Pokémon you’ve just caught).”
Based on previous reports, it should cost $35 when it comes out. There’s no word yet on when it will be specifically available in the Philippines so stay tuned as we wait for more details.
