Yesterday, December 3, marked the 20th anniversary of the PlayStation. And to celebrate the console’s two decades of journey, Sony revealed the 20th Anniversary Edition of the PlayStation 4.
The PS4 20th Anniversary Edition sports similar specs as the regular PS4. The only difference is that this one comes in a color similar to the first PlayStation, original PlayStation logo, and a special badge.
Sony has a limited supply of this special PS4 with only 12,300 units to be sold worldwide. It is priced at $499 in the US and comes in a special commemorative box. It will be available for pre-order on December 6. Watch the unboxing below.
The Sony PlayStation (One) was first released in Japan on December 3, 1994. It was discontinued in March 31, 2006 with 102.49 million units sold.

I still have my original playstation(I don’t know if still working) but I have ps3… Nostalgic;)
^Weak sales? Proof please. 15 million units sold after a year of its debut is an impressive feat. Plus, with so many video game mediums these days: mobile phones, tablet, Steam and other mini consoles, the sales is pretty solid IMO.
Sony is looking for ways to jack up the price of their PS4 console primarily because of weak sales.
Kahit anong “limited” pa i-tatak mo sa console, then fact of the matter is, all consoles depreciate in value a time goes by.
