VentureBeat was able to take photos of the Galaxy Gear from an internal promotional video made by an independent team closely working with Samsung. Based on the images, the Gear’s design has a rugged feel to it and looks more like a companion to the Galaxy S4 Active.

Listed below are some of the Galaxy Gear’s features:

  • Samsung S Voice for voice commands
  • Preloaded with Android apps for social media, health tracking, etc.
  • Integration with a companion Galaxy S phone or tablet
  • An easy-to-use swipe function to access apps, the built-in camera, and the photo gallery
  • Call logs (A cool use-case: You can initiate a call from the watch to a Samsung smartphone device)
  • Internet access
  • Power button on the side
  • Social media integration — you can share to your Facebook or Twitter account from the watch
  • 10+ hours battery life

I agree…minsan talaga nagkokopyahan lang sila. I am not only specifying Samsung, I mean all of them…nagaantayan minsan, testing the waters kung baga, dun nila titignan if papatok.

sana di nila giawang rugged ung itsura kasi may mga tao na luxurious feel ang gusto tska masyado nang malaki ung device(excluding the strap)sana man lang ginawa nilang all glass ung top surface tapos mejo nakacurve…btw para sakin hindi ganun magagamit nang husto ung camera kasi mejo awkward pag ginamit pero ang cool tignan kasi parang spy gadget lang hahahaha!

As a College Student, we have use for this. A Cheating Accessory. I’ve wanted an Ipod Nano 6th gen with Android and a Camera. Its very handy in exams. And I don’t why I’m so proud of what Ive just said.haha. But still, this looks ugly with a whooping 3inch display w/c is unnecessary. this doesn’t look good to those who have skinny wrist.

and this folks is why our country is not going anywhere. What the hell will you learn if you cheat in exams???

    Redundancy written all over it.

The thought of it being an extension (or an accessory) to your Galaxy smartphone is beyond dumb. No single redeeming feature to make you WANT it…Health tracking? yeah right

one more thing… Individuals with thin, frail wristbones would look stupid with that thing

    as usual, it’s ugly
