Along with Samsung’s announcement of the Galaxy S5 and their Gear smartwatches, the Gear Fit takes aim at the physically active. It utilizes an accelerometer, a gyroscope sensor and a heart rate monitor to keep track of your fitness and it comes with a few more apps and features that will work well with your Galaxy smartphone.
The Gear Fit takes your smartphone notifications, controls your media, finds your phone and keeps track of your activities with a pedometer, exercise patterns, a stopwatch and a timer – all of which will be making it onto a 1.84-inch curved AMOLED display. Samsung also allows you to change the wristband if you’d like to.
As of now, the Gear Fit is only compatible with 17 Galaxy devices. Pricing and availability is yet to be disclosed so stay tuned.
