During this year’s Tokyo Game Show, Sony announced that starting October 1, the PlayStation 4 will receive a handsome mark down in price.
From its previous local SRP of Php25k, a 500GB model of the Sony PlayStation 4 will be sold for Php18,900 starting next month.
It’s also been said that the 1TB variant will be available locally starting on first of October and will sold for Php20,900. Just an additional two grand for twice the amount of storage? Sign me up!
Users from neighboring SEA countries will also benefit from Sony’s new price scheme for the PlayStation.
In line with the announcement of the new SRP of the PS4 and the arrival of the 1TB model, Sony also announced that two limited edition bundles, NBA 2K16 and Star Wars Battlefront, will make its way to our country next month. The price, however, of these console bundle were not stated at the time of writing.
Am I missing something? 17,995 lang 500gb PS4 sa Datablitz tpos dito “handsome mark down in price” na Php18,900? Wut????? May difference ba sila?
25,000 is the official price and 17,995 from DataBlitz is cheaper because they take off the profit margin. since the official price will be Php18,900, the Price at DataBlitz will be cheaper around 13,995~14.995
Do not purchase the 1TB variant. It is an older model and runs hotter then the newer systems that are available. Many articles on this on the web.
Thanks for the heads-up. :D
This is a wrong presumption for the 1TB model. This is true if you are talking about PS4 with SKU series of CUH-11xxB. SKU series CUH-12xxB has reduced power rating and has a new HW. Lower power rating means lower heat dissipation.
