Along with the announcement of the new model of the PlayStation Vita, Sony has also announced an entertainment partner for your big screen TV, the PlayStation Vita TV.
The PlayStation Vita TV is a new entertainment system within the PlayStation family that allows users to play their PS Vita games on the TV and access video services and various content.
The PS Vita TV adopts the PS Vita’s chipset and system software and comes with HDMI and USB outputs as well as slots for PS Vita memory cards and cartridges. Just plug it to your TV and play your PS Vita games using a Wireless Controller.
The PS Vita TV will land first in Japan on November 14 with a price tag of 9,954 yen or almost Php4,400 in today’s exchange rate. Sony will also be selling the “PS Vita TV Value Pack” which comes with a DualShock 3 Wireless Controller and an 8GB memory card for 14,994 yen or around Php6,600.

just wondering how this will deal with the touchscreen controls of some PS vita games
It says that it CANNOT play all VITA games that use the touch screen.
Well I found it in another website
I agree with @Noir. This won’t properly play any games that utilizes PS Vita’s Touchscreen and Rear touchpad controls.
One example of a game you can’t really play properly here is the “Metal Gear Solid HD Collection”.
