Xiaomi has officially announced its plans to launch the highly anticipated Xiaomi 14 series smartphones globally, marking a significant move outside of its domestic market. The Xiaomi 14 series is set to make its debut on the global stage in Barcelona on Sunday, February 25, just ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) kickoff the following day.
According to teasers released by Xiaomi, the spotlight is expected to shine on the much-awaited Xiaomi 14 Ultra, alongside the sleeker Xiaomi 14 model. However, reports suggest that the Xiaomi 14 Pro may not be part of the lineup for international release, remaining exclusive to the Chinese market.
Xiaomi’s official website hints at groundbreaking advancements in photography with a teaser promising “a new generation of Leica optics, reaching new heights.” This likely refers to the rumored wider variable aperture feature expected on the main camera of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Anticipated to house four 50MP cameras, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is rumored to boast a Sony LYT-900 main sensor with a faster f/1.6-f/4.0 variable aperture, a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which featured an f/1.9-f/4.0 aperture range.
