We’ve written about Epson‘s augmented reality smart glasses before when it provided real-life subtitles for a certain play. This time, the company showed a more advanced sibling in the form of the Moverio BT-2000 augmented reality smart glasses.
Built as an industrial and enterprise tool, the Moverio BT-2000 allows professionals to experience a smarter workplace by leveraging on the company’s optical and precision technologies. It works basically by overlaying 3D content on top of the real world environment (think Google Glass) and in this way, increases overall productivity.
The folks from Epson Philippines demonstrated what it could do by simply looking at everyday things — calendars, data, and even promotional fliers. The Moverio BT-2000 shows additional information that not only the user can see, even people not present in the area could view what the device sees so they could, for example, perform onsite and remote support. Check out the short video below.
The asking price wasn’t announced as of yet but the company says they will reveal it soon. Stay tuned.
