Fitbit unveiled their newest fitness trackers for consumers and also a nifty update to a previous device plus a new mode to encourage users to be active.
The Fitbit Charge 2 is the successor to the Charge HR with new features like replaceable bands, a larger display, reminder-to-move mode, notifications from your smartphone, and a mode called “Relax” that measures breathing.
The Fitbit Flex 2 is the successor to the Flex and it’s one of their bands that doesn’t sport a display but rather colored LED lights. It’s now Fitbit’s first waterproof tracker that can be used down to 50-meters deep. It also has new bangles and pendants with partnerships from designers like Vera Wang and Tory Burch.
Apart from new hardware, Fitbit also releases a software update to the Blaze with new watch faces, third-party phone notifications, and more. The smartphone app of Fitbit for Android and iOS is also getting new features including Cardio Health and an “Adventures” mode.
The Charge 2 will cost USD 149PHP 8,744INR 12,628EUR 142CNY 1,084 (~Php7,000USD 119INR 10,112EUR 114CNY 869) while the Flex 2 is still in pre-order. For local availability, Beyond the Box and Digital Walker are currently the official Philippine retailers for Fitbit devices.
