Garmin Philippines has officially unveiled its latest wearable, the Lily. The Garmin Lily is a feminine, stylish smartwatch that features a 34mm watch case, T-bar lug style, slender 14mm band, and subtly patterned lens. Check out more of it through our hands-on below.
The Garmin Lily comes in two models, Classic and Sport. Both flaunt an LCD geared with a Gorilla Glass face that features a luxurious metallic pattern. The Classic model boasts an Italian leather band and a stainless steel bezel, while the Sport model comes with a silicone band and an aluminum bezel. The Classic is available in Black with Cream Gold, and the Sport comes in Light Sand with Rose Gold, athleisure-inspired colorway.
The Lily looks classic and premium. I like how light it is, and it sits comfortably on the wrist.
As mentioned, the Lily features a metallic patterned lens that reveals a bright liquid crystal monochromatic touchscreen display that disappears when not in use. I also like how the watch looks more like an elegant piece of jewelry even when the display’s off.
It also offers a small pile of watch faces that you can choose from directly on the watch. Unfortunately, unlike other smartwatches, Lily’s watch face is only limited to the 12 available ones.Â
When it comes to the screen’s quality, it is bright even under direct sunlight, which lets you see the screen clearly. You may also manually adjust its brightness level from one to seven, or you can set it to auto. However, for the touch response, you can notice some lagging when moving through the screen. Though, the smartwatch’s gesture sensitivity feature is pretty responsive.
Found underneath are the sensors and pins for charging, along with some of Lily’s specs written around the sensor’s surface. The smartwatch is water-resistant up to 50 meters so that you can wear it in the shower or for a quick swim. Although in case you’ll use the smartwatch for such, you better get the Sport edition with the silicone band since the Classic’s leather strap may be worn out.
The Lily also has a comprehensive set of fitness and wellness-related features. It provides health awareness by continuously monitoring respiration, Pulse Ox, stress, hydration, advanced sleep, and heart rate. It also features Body Battery energy monitoring that shows the body’s current energy level. It also comes with eleven built-on multi-sports modes, including yoga, running, cycling, aerobics, and more. The watch’s connected GPS allows you to record your workout cycles and keep track of your activities.
Tailored ideally for women, the smartwatch comes with menstrual cycle monitoring and pregnancy tracking. Garmin is identified to be the first fitness wearable brand to have its own pregnancy tracking app. The newly launched pregnancy tracking gives moms-to-be a snapshot of their pregnancy alongside their other health, wellness, and activity data.
To take advantage of its wide range of features, you must install the Garmin Connect app and pair up your smartwatch. The Garmin Connect app is compatible with Android and iOS.
Other key features of the smartwatch include smart notifications, calendar view, and safety and tracking.
Meanwhile, it is powered with a battery life of up to five days. It comes with its own charging clip, which you can connect via a USB-A port.
Overall, the Lily is a great smartwatch, especially if you look for a feminine and elegant-looking one that would match your fashion sense. It appeals to those who look for something chic and classic yet salubrious. Plus, having female health features such as menstrual cycle monitoring and pregnancy tracking makes it advantageous. However, it is also worth noting that there’s nothing extraordinary about its other features since most smartwatches are already geared with those.Â
The Garmin Lily Classic is priced at PHP 14,195USD 242INR 20,506EUR 230CNY 1,762, while the Sport edition retails at PHP 11,395USD 194INR 16,461EUR 185CNY 1,414.
