Huawei already has the Band 4 out in stores since October last year and it was pretty affordable with a suggested retail price of only Php1,890. The Pro version just came out recently with a price tag of Php2,990.
The Huawei Band 4 Pro comes with a lot of watch faces for personalization and features Huawei TrueSeen 3.5, Huawei TruSleep 2.0, GPS capabilities, and a 6-axis IMU sensor.
If you already own the Huawei Band 4, the Pro version has a few advantages — a higher screen resolution (240×120 pixels) for the 0,95-inch AMOLED display, higher battery capacity (100mAh, 20 days), more options in the Sports Mode (11) with Firstbeat.
In a way, the Band 4 Pro is for those who are active people who want a more customized look and experience of their fitness band. The Band 4 Pro is very comfortable to use, has a small footprint that you will almost not feel it while wearing.
The rubber straps are soft and have lots of holes so you adjust for the best fit.
The user interface is the same familiar interface as the previous Huawei bands so it’s easy to get used to. For the Pro variant, you can now change the look of the watch face to your liking. The straps come in three colors — black, red and gold.
Perhaps the biggest difference between the Band 4 and the Pro version is that the later used a proprietary charger that comes in the box. It’s a small charging cradle/clamp that you need to take good care or else it will easily get misplaced. We like the charging method of the Band 4 better because it can be removed from the strap and plugged into any USB port to recharge.
A single full charge of the Band 4 Pro will last an average of 20 days. It can be paired with your smartphone via Bluetooth to sync biometric information such as heart rate as well as other data like GPS, step counter and sleep pattern.
It’s water-resistant so you can take it for a swim up to 50 meters deep.
