Huawei has officially launched in the Philippines its latest smartwatch and fitness band that features a 1.64-inch Vivid AMOLED touch display, Quick-Workout Animations, and a 10-day battery life, the Huawei Watch Fit.
The Huawei Watch Fit was announced a few weeks ago and is one of the newest members of Huawei’s wearable products.
One of the first things you’ll notice about it is how sleek and premium it looks. At first glance, it will remind you of the Apple Watch because of the 2.5D glass and metallic frame, although the material is made of durable polymer fiber. Still, it looks and feels premium.
There’s a button on the side for accessing the menu and exiting an app, which is handy as most of the navigation and selection is done by touch.
Found underneath are the sensors and the magnetic pins for charging. From here you can also remove the straps by lifting the small latches.
For the screen, it has an AMOLED panel and a 70% screen-to-body ratio. We prefer this rectangular form-factor compared to the square or circle ones, as it looks more immersive. At 1.64-inch with 280 x 456 resolution, it provides a good 326ppi, which looks sharp for a smartwatch. The colors are punchy and have enough brightness for outdoor use.
The Huawei Watch Fit is comfortable, thanks to its lightweight and smooth silicone strap. It’s stylish too and comes in Graphite Black, Mint Green, Sakura Pink, and Cantaloupe Orange. Sadly, it only comes with one strap.
Setting it up will require the Huawei Health app, which is already pre-installed in Huawei smartphones. Turn on Bluetooth and add the Huawei Watch Fit in the Devices tab. From here you can access more health and exercise stats, download watch faces, or update the firmware.
When it comes to features, the Huawei Watch Fit functions more than just your typical smartwatch. It can send you notifications from your smartphone, lets you find your phone by sounding an alarm, set an alarm, or set a timer. But what will set this apart from other smartwatches is its health-centric features.
This smartwatch can record your workouts but also provide you with workout animations to guide you on staying fit. It can check your heart rate, check your SpO2 levels, monitor your sleep quality, measure your stress levels, and provide you with breathing exercises.
For the battery life, the Huawei Watch Fit boasts a 10-day battery life thanks to its power-saving algorithms. It also supports quick charging that provides a whole day of use with just a 50minute charge.
The Huawei Watch Fit also has a built-in GPS and 5ATM water resistance so you can take it out for a run and not worry about sweat and rain. Overall, the Huawei Watch Fit is a great fitness-centric device for those who want a smartwatch functionality in a compact design.
The Huawei Watch Fit is priced at PHP 4,999 and can be purchased online through Lazada and Shopee starting tomorrow. Customers who will purchase the Huawei Watch Fit from September 18-22 will be receiving free gifts worth PHP 2,380 which include Huawei Band 4e and Nova Speaker.
