Qualcomm has announced today its latest processor for the targeted-purpose wearables segments – the Snapdragon Wear 1100.
By targeted-purpose wearables, Qualcom means devices for kids and elderly like watches, fitness trackers, smart headsets, and other wearable accessories. It sports low power features such as Power Save Mode (PSM), industry leading compact packages, and next gen Cat 1 modem with LTE/3G global band support. It also features WiFi, Bluetooth, Qualcomm iZat integrated location engine.
