The OnePlus Watch 3 may have 60-second checkup and ECG capabilities through the OHealth app

OnePlus is set to enhance its smartwatch lineup with the forthcoming OnePlus Watch 3 series, introducing a suite of advanced health monitoring features. Insights from a recent teardown of the OHealth app reveal several anticipated functionalities:

OnePlus Watch

ECG Monitoring: The app indicates support for electrocardiogram (ECG) readings, enabling detection of conditions such as atrial fibrillation (AFib) and other heart irregularities. Users can perform ECG measurements directly on the watch, even if their smartphone lacks the necessary compatibility.

Wrist Temperature Tracking: The OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to monitor wrist temperature, providing users with insights into their baseline and any deviations. Establishing an accurate baseline requires wearing the watch during sleep for at least five nights, with one session lasting four or more hours.

60-Second Health Checkup: A new feature will offer a rapid assessment of key health indicators, including blood oxygen levels, vascular age, and sleep patterns, aiming to identify potential health risks efficiently.

The OHealth app is also set to introduce a dedicated Health tab, providing users with comprehensive health insights and daily activity tracking, encompassing sleep, steps, and workout data.

Details of the OnePlus Watch 3 (Leaked)

Hardware specifications for the OnePlus Watch 3 series are anticipated to be consistent with its predecessor, featuring a Snapdragon W5 chip, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.

Notably, the new models are expected to include a larger battery exceeding 500mAh and a rotary dial for navigation.

While these features are projected to debut with the OnePlus Watch 3 series, there is potential for them to become available on earlier models, such as the OnePlus Watch 2, through future software updates.

The OnePlus Watch 3 series is expected to launch alongside the OnePlus 13 series in the coming months.
