Shelfari.com is a social media site that’s focused on books. Great place for bookworms. Anybody here actively using Shelfari? I’ve got several invites before but never got to really sign up. I also got an email from one of the founders when it was just starting but never really stayed long.
Anybody got some feedback on this and willing to get interviewed on TV? ;)

I love stumbleupon for being able to show me this site. immediate fan now. I have viewed some really poor web sites on stumble and when I discovered this, I immediately knew it had been good! This article is entertaining especially for someone like me haha. I’ve been attempting to read a lot more these days and being able to discover a site like this is good for my education. Love what you are doing, looking forward to reading more!

niche social networking has become so common nowadays that I jump into the bandwagon and created one just for the heck of it. Its link in my nick.

I was interested in shelfari in the beginning but I didn’t stay long either.

Shelfari is ok, but I prefer librarything.com. Librarything is more versatile.

i was addicted to Shelfari for a while (around late last year), but for my connection (300kbps,) searching, uploading and updating books in my account was a bit tedious. i loved everything about it though, since i love books so much.

I bet I sent you one invite when I accidentally sent the invites to everyone on my list. I don’t really use it much.

I also have a Shelfari account. The site is hip and cool but LibraryThing has a wider book catalog.

Looks interesting.

I have a LibraryThing account (http://www.librarything.com/catalog/ricoz). Haven’t heard of Shelfari until your post. Shelfari’s virtual shelf I think is really really nice! LibraryThing only has a generic enumerated list of all your books.

It’s a nice useful site. I get to catalog my books, and see who among my friend’s list also have copies of the books I have. Another thing is that I can browse on titles my friends own, gives me an idea on which books to swap or borrow from them ;)
