Blackmagic Camera App v2.1 Launches with Camera Control & New iPhone Features

Blackmagic Design has released version 2.1 of its Camera app for iOS, introducing new features specifically for iPhone 16 users. The update includes Camera Control, which allows users to adjust zoom, exposure, focus, and ISO by swiping the Camera Control button. This follows version 2.0, which added native iPad support in August.

The app now also offers quick access from the Control Center, Lock Screen, or iPhone’s Camera Control, making it easier for users to launch and use the app’s functions. Additionally, the update adds compatibility for DockKit-compatible devices, such as the Insta360 Flow Pro gimbal, allowing users to capture stabilized video with more accessory options.

Version 2.1 also introduces higher bitrate recording options for H.264 and H.265, enabling users to record video with improved quality without the storage demands of ProRes.
