GCash is expected to roll out new investment funds in GInvest.
GInvest is the ‘Invest Money’ investment marketplace feature of the GCash app. This service allows users to invest in various investment funds from their partner product providers. GInvest is powered by partnerships with Seedbox Philippines and ATRAM.
Recently, Martha Sazon, the President & CEO of Mynt – operator of GCash, has revealed the upcoming offer in GInvest. Sazon has announced that new funds in GInvest will be coming out this February.
The new offerings in GInvest allow users to invest for as low as PHP 50 for PH instruments and PHP 1,000 for Global, in the following funds and companies:
• PH Bonds
• Global Technology (Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, Alphabet/Google)
• Consumer Funds (Amazon, Alibaba, Nintendo, Sea/Shopee, Activision Blizzard)
• PH Equity (Top PH companies like Globe, Ayala, SM, etc.)
According to Sazon, this enables GCash users to earn more than their savings rate and as much as 78% return on their money.
As of the writing, the Invest Money feature in GCash is temporarily unavailable. We expect to know more about this once the new funds offer on GInvest is officially out, so stay tuned!
